Dave Smith was born on May 18, 1947, he was an American Profesional Football player. Who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL)
As at the time of his age he was 73 years old.
Dave Smith Career
In the 1970 NFL Draft, Smith was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the eighth. He also played college football and basketball at Indiana (PA) and Waynesburg.
In 1971, Dave was known for a fumble in a Monday Night Football game against the Kansas City Chiefs while trying to score a touchdown, and led the Steelers in touchdown receptions. He also played for the Houston Oilers and Kansas City.
Currently we have DeSean Jackson who has now replaced him and plays exactly like him.
He finished his career with the chiefs in 1973.
Smith passed away this past week this is according to Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Pos
t-Gazette as reported.
He died on May 22nd, 2020.
Funs and Friends remember him more due to an interview he did with Steelers Insider in 2018 which was recalled by a former playmate:
After the play I had to walk by the Kansas City bench, then Pittsburgh players. They were all on the same side then. I walked by Chuck and he gave me a wry smile. ‘Do you think you can get us another one?’ he asked me. I said I would get him another before the night was out.
